Dark-field spoon

LED light table, sheet of polarizer filter, clear plastic spoon, polarizer filter in front of lens. Turn the polarizer filter until the sheet turns dark - then only the light thorugh the subject still passes the second filter.

Crystal Ball Retina Display Pixels

Crystal ball used as a loupe to magnify a LCD display. Compared to a regular macro lens, it suffers from lots of faults and is only sharp at the center. Macro of a glass drinking straw. The far end is lit by a small LED light with a snoot, light coming from the side. Focus bracketing with 75 shots needed, stepping 2. Stacking in Helicon focus method A/1/1. Post processing in Lightroom.
